Correct The Record

Correct The Record is a strategic research and rapid response team designed to defend Hillary Clinton from an endless barrage of unfair and inaccurate attacks. A pivotal moment in CTR’s work was on October 22, 2015, when Hillary Clinton testified for more than 11 hours in front of the House Select Committee on Benghazi. 

As the senior designer at Correct The Record, I led a team of designers to create materials to help Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. The Benghazi Research Center was a sub-brand that I created and directed. Ahead of Secretary Clinton’s testimony I designed a complete guide to the House Select Committee that included 150 pages of research proving its partisan agenda. This was critical in changing the narrative the day before her testimony and actually flipped the burden on the committee to prove its legitimacy. This guide was featured on dozens of news programs and publications, including CNN’s New Day and MSNBC’s Morning Joe. Additionally, the guide was the 2016 American Association of Political Consultants winner for Most Original/Innovative Collateral. The Benghazi Research Center brand created multiple books, dozens of shareables and countless pieces of collateral during the investigation.

Throughout the 2016 election at Correct The Record, I created and executed multiple sub-branded campaigns that included original logos, websites, graphics, media kits and collateral. These projects and designs attracted millions of earned media hits for Correct The Record and ultimately helped the Hillary Clinton campaign.

In addition to defending Hillary Clinton, I also designed materials to hold Donald Trump accountable and highlight opposition research about his record. Trump Lies was a brand I created to highlight Donald Trump’s thousands of lies throughout the campaign which earned a Washington Post ‘Pinocchio’. Research reports and collateral, including stickers and press kits, were produced and sent to influencers and reporters, earning millions of impressions. I extended the brand online with a website and led design projects for video and social media shareables.
